The driver of the Viper is obviously an old hand at this, his reaction times are so much quicker than the other 3, that said, what were the terminal speeds and times?

Looked kike a good day out though!

I was the tuscan guy, some very worn toyo's didnt help my already terrible launch! I was getting a terminal of 114 mph. Timing slips are somewhere in my folder I think.

thumbupthanks Dave!...was my first time on a timed 1/4m smile but after waiting 3 years to get the Viper, i saw countless 1/4m videos et al and....it's mostly in the launch is what i found...start rpm, tyre heat/pressure and reaction times + probably whole load more that i haven't picked up yet (shocks set up etc......). Best was 12.1s (matched manufacturer time woohoo!), 121mph.

the supra was a naturally aspirated 3litre, not turbo, so a bit of a miss match, thorney island is on again this year, it's called 'modified madness' middle of july, think it's £40 for unlimited drag runs on the saturday and sunday, cheap when you think santapod is £30 for 3 runs on rwyb days. i'll be there again with my supra 600bhp single turbo.

Santapod is unlimited runs for £30, not 3 runs. Last time I was there (2 months ago) it was pretty quiet, ran over and over. Brilliant value.

I believe he came up along side me at Thorney last year smile The turbo coming out the grille gave me thoughts to worry biggrin

yes he was there last year at Thorney. the car has changed again its all home built out of a shed it does surprise a few. i believe he went up against the viper last year (lost) but gave him a good run.i think he's going there again soon. its a good atmosphere down there money doesn't matter just petrol heads

thumbup he did run against me on my last and fastest one!...was pushed hard and he was ahead for atleast the first 1/4! came in fraction of a second behind!...still got the time slip somewhere
